This feature allows potential applicants to gauge the progress of hiring processes before applying, enabling more strategic decisions about when to apply. We will explain how to utilize this new feature to optimize your application efforts.

Benefits of the Opportunity Status Tracker

Strategic Applications: By viewing the current stage of each public opportunity, you can decide whether to apply based on the likelihood of the application being considered.

Time Efficiency: Saves time by indicating whether a position is likely already filled or close to closing, helping you focus on opportunities with open and active consideration. • Informed Decision-Making: Enhances your ability to make informed decisions about which roles to pursue based on the stage of the hiring process

Overview of Application Stages in the Public Opportunities Tab

Just like in your personal application dashboard, each opportunity in the Public Opportunities tab displays its current stage. Here’s what each stage indicates:

  • Awaiting Applications: Indicates that other candidates have already submitted applications.

  • Reviewing Candidates: The hiring process is underway with the client reviewing applications. This stage shows that your application would still be timely if submitted promptly.

  • Interviews Have Started: Interview invitations have been sent to selected candidates. Applying at this stage might carry lower chances of progressing as the process is in advanced stages.

  • Opportunity Closed: The position has been filled or the application process has been closed. No further applications will be accepted.

How to Use the Opportunity Status Tracker

  1. Log into your LawTrades account and click on the Opportunities tab in the sidebar to view all available opportunities.

  2. Each listing will display the current stage directly below the job title, along with other relevant details such as the location and job type.

  3. Use this progress bar to assess whether to apply.

    1. If an opportunity is still in the "Reviewing Candidates" stage, it might be worth submitting an application. However, if it has moved to "Interviews Have Started," consider whether it aligns with your timing and expectations before applying.

The new Opportunity Status Tracker in the Public Opportunities tab on Lawtrades is a valuable tool for navigating your job search more effectively. By providing real-time insights into the hiring stages of various opportunities, Lawtrades empowers you to make better-informed decisions, saving you time and improve your hiring chances.
